At Nintin in the Mampong Municipality, the Owarewa Foundation has generously donated to the local Presbyterian Basic School following severe rainstorm damage.
Owarewa Foundation has made a significant contribution to the Nintin Presby Basic School.
The recent rainstorm caused extensive damage to the school's infrastructure, leaving classrooms unusable.
The foundation's donation includes essential materials for repairs, aimed at restoring the learning environment for the students.
The storm ripped off the roofs of several classrooms, making it unsafe for our students.
Thanks to this generous donation, we can begin repairs and ensure that our students can return to their classrooms soon.
Volunteers from the community, along with representatives from the Presbyterian Church and the Ghana Education Service, have been working tirelessly to clean up the debris and start the repair work. The school had to close temporarily, but with this help, they're hopeful that normal activities will resume soon.
The storm also affected nearby homes, displacing several families.
The community is rallying together to support those affected, providing temporary shelter and essential supplies.
The Assembly Member for the Nintin Electoral Area, Nicholas Osei-Wusu, has called for more support from philanthropists and the government to ensure that the community can fully recover from this disaster.
