**Sekyere Kumawu: Rainstorm Havoc_ 51 Households and 8 Schools Highly Affected**
A devastating rainstorm that struck Sekyere Kumawu has left 51 households and 8 schools severely affected, causing widespread damage and disruption.
The storm, which hit the area with fierce winds and heavy rainfall, has displaced several residents and disrupted the education of hundreds of students.
The National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) has been working tirelessly to assess the extent of the damage and provide immediate relief to the affected residents.
Mr Emmanuel Obeng, the Sekyere Kumawu Director of NADMO, described the impact of the storm and the measures being taken to assist the affected students and families.
"For now, the R/C Primary School has a new block, and my MP has instructed that we move the affected students from the old block to the new one, which is yet to be commissioned," Obeng explained. "As I am talking to you, we are working to get roofing sheets to start repairs and get them back to school. Otherwise, this will affect their learning," he added .

Nkwanta AME Zion basic School
Oyoko Methodist primary ,
Kumawu R/c J. H.S
Kumawu presby Primary ,
.Abotanso Methodist primary ,

The storm has left many homes without roofs, forcing families to seek temporary shelter.
The affected schools have been partly or completely shut down, disrupting the education of hundreds of students.
NADMO has reported the situation to its national and regional headquarters, seeking urgent intervention from stakeholders, including the general public .
"We are appealing to the world for support. Some schools have been partly affected, while others have been shut completely.
We don’t want students to run shifts, so we are merging schools and re-roofing the affected ones,
The Member of Parliament for Kumawu, Ernest Yaw Anim, has extended heartfelt condolences to those affected and vowed to work tirelessly alongside local authorities and relief agencies to ensure that urgent aid reaches those in need. "We stand in solidarity with every family and individual affected by this unfortunate incident," Anim stated. "Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. We are committed to doing everything possible to help restore normalcy and bring comfort to our people.
Hon. Anim has also appealed to well-meaning individuals and organizations to join in supporting the affected families. "Every act of kindness counts," he urged, highlighting the importance of collective action in helping the community recover.
