**Two Dead, Three Injured in Bloody Clash at Wiamoase Burial Ground**
Wiamoase— Tragedy struck the town of Wiamoase as a violent clash at a burial ground claimed the lives of two individuals and left three others with gunshot injuries. The incident occurred on Saturday, April 5, 2025, during the burial of an alleged gang member, escalating tensions between rival groups.
According to eyewitnesses, the confrontation began shortly after the burial rites, leading to chaos and panic among attendees. Gunshots were fired, resulting in the deaths of two individuals, whose identities are yet to be confirmed. Three others, including innocent bystanders, sustained injuries and are currently receiving treatment at the Wiamoase SDA Hospital.
Nana Boakye Yiadom II, Chief of Wiamoase, revealed that he had received intelligence about a potential disturbance prior to the ceremony and had informed the police. The chief emphasized that the deceased were not members of the Wiamoase community but had traveled from Aboaso to attend the burial.
